Let The Record Show That Bryce Harper, Without A Shred Of Doubt, 100% Did NOT Give The Middle Finger To Dipshit Nationals Fans After Blasting A 9th Inning Homer

The Philadelphia Phillies made baseball history last night. They became the first team in the history of the MLB to hit a go-ahead home run in the 9th inning in 3 consecutive games. They were down 6-8 in the 9th inning on Tuesday night before Brandon Marsh hit a 2-run home run to tie it up, and Bryson Stott followed it up with a 3-run bomb to take the lead. They were down 3-4 in the 9th inning on Wednesday night before Derrick Hill became a Philly legend and went 382 feet to right center for the lead.

And then we get to last night. The Phillies were down 5-0 in the 6th inning. Brandon Marsh got them on the board in the 6th, and then we had a tie game in the 7th. For the first time in 72 hours, the Phillies weren't trailing in the 9th inning.

Now I get it. If you're a Nationals fan, this had to be the worst week of the season for you. Your bullpen is an absolute nightmare. The worst bullpen that baseball has ever seen. 2 straight blown leads in the 9th inning, and now your team just gave up a 5-run lead. All while watching a bunch of guys you had in your clubhouse doing some damage. You lost Bryce Harper. You lost Trea Turner. You lost Kyle Schwarber. You're frustrated with your current team, but you decide to take it out on those guys. You hit Bryce with a bunch of "Fuck Bryce Harper" chants, and he hears everything.

Bad idea!

3 straight nights of go-ahead bombs for the Phillies in the 9th inning, and this one was the most emphatic. Mainly because Bryce got a chance to shut up all the dipshits in right field.

But what's even more disgusting than the fact that Nationals fans were chanting "Fuck Bryce Harper" all night, is the downright dangerous and slanderous depiction of Bryce Harper "flipping off" the Nats fans after that home run. In now way, shape, or form did Bryce Harper give the middle finger to those fans. He's a family man. He knows there are kids watching. He would never use such a naughty gesture. That, my friends, was simply the ring finger.

I don't know if I'm dating myself here, but it's like when you were in elementary school and you'd give your friends the "Chinese middle finger" by sticking your pinky up at them. It was the perfect way for an 8-year-old you to tell your friends to fuck off, but without getting in trouble at all by the teachers. You can't get a detention for the Chinese middle finger, the same way the MLB can't fine you for sticking up your ring finger. It's the perfect "Get Out of Jail Free" card. Everybody knows what you mean, but you didn't actually do it. Who is to say that Bryce Harper wasn't just reminding Nationals fans that they have a World Series ring on that finger because of guys like Trea Turner?

45-36. 36-17 since firing Rob Thomson. 3 straight come from behind wins. An angry and pissed off Bryce Harper. This team might just be frisky and dangerous enough to do something special.
