Besides the Olympics, there's nothing that brings the entire world together quite like the World Cup does. Every day you get incredible games, and you get a great look into all the different cultures of fans traveling to watch their team play.
Now obviously there are plenty of games on the schedule you don't want to miss because the greatest players on the planet are going head-to-head. Mbappé vs Haaland. Messi vs Ayyoub Bouaddi. But today's match between Brazil and Scotland is going to be a must-watch for an entirely different reason.
Because according to this Brazilian psychic chick, we could see Neymar and Vinicius Junior get abducted by aliens in the middle of the game.
I can't think of another time in the history of sport when there was an alien abduction on the line. Think of all the most incredible and iconic moments throughout sports history, and none of them have had anything like this heading into the game.
What do you even do if this actually happens? Do you just treat it like injury time? Does it count as a substitution for Brazil? Does the game continue to go on? Does the broadcast show replays of the abduction? Or do they treat it like they do with gruesome injuries, and just not show the replay for the sake of the viewers back home. It's going to be incredibly interesting to see how this all plays out if it actually happens.
90+ minutes starting at 6pm down in Miami. We have no idea what point of the game this abduction is going to happen, so now you have to be glued to your TV the whole time. Also, you can't discredit how huge this could be for Scotland. They desperately need a win today to move on to the round of 32. They are currently 3rd in group C, and a win would guarantee they make it out of group play. If Brazil has to deal with an alien abduction during the game, that might just be a bit too much adversity to power through.
