It's All Love In New York City: Fat Joe And Knicks Fans Were Singing Lean Back On The Subway While Dancing
Let's ignore that the author (is that what we call it) of this tweet doesn't know the difference between the bus and the subway, but that's what happens when you get people from the middle of the country running an account like this (I'm assuming), and let's also ignore I have absolutely zero idea what Fat Joe is handing out here, the city is all love right now.
Now I know the people doing horrific shit is what is getting clips and that is deplorable, we all agree, but there's also so many parts of the city with people literally turning back time to the 1970's and 80's when people were hanging out on stoops and streets watching the game, being together, not just living on their phone scrolling. Generations of fans out eating, drinking having fun. Full families getting together with their kids and watching the game, talking, making memories etc. Same for random strangers like here.
Normally celebrities would be mobbed or there's a whole big scene etc. This was organic as it gets. Just a random Knicks fan and Fat Joe yucking it up singing and celebrating. The city is magical and has been magical all Spring. I was way too young to really enjoy the days of the 90's, but when I had some money in my pocket post college those 2012-2014 ish years had a hint of it, I still remember being excited for that Pacers game until Hibbert broke our hearts, but in the end we had far too few of those. These last few years, and this one especially has been awesome. Nice weather, big games, unreal energy and the city uniting to watch the one team we all unanimously root for. Magical. The Knicks have that effect.
