The American Dream: This German Soccer Fan Documenting His Road Trip Across The United States Is Going To Meet Ella Langley

I'm sure by now you guys have seen the Twitter account @FreddyLA7. The dude is on one of the best runs I've ever seen on social media. A German soccer fan, Freddy has come over to the United States for the World Cup and documented his experiences traveling through the deep south of America.

I mean, look at the traction on these tweets. He's putting up bigger numbers than when Tate follows Mintzy around for a weekend.

He's become so popular on social media that one of his tweets has caught the attention of the country music world, specifically.

Yup. Freddy is an Ella Fella. And who can blame him really? She's taken everybody by storm. And it's special to see some Europeans join in on the Langley wave.

The tweet got so much buzz that a radio station in Louisiana gave Freddy a shoutout as he was driving through the state, and the DJ wound up dedicating the next Ella Langley song to him. I know a lot of people don't listen to the radio anymore, but if I was in his shoes, this would be one of the coolest experiences that I could think of. I'd be telling everybody who had ears about getting a shoutout on the fucking radio.

But the magic doesn't stop there. I got back from the bar last night and came across this tweet from Freddy right after he posted it. I couldn't believe my eyes. The biggest W that the man has had yet.

Seriously, he is on a HEATER. A Wilt Chamberlain-esque performance. I don't know if I've seen anything like it.

At this rate, I don't think he'll ever go back to Germany. How could you ever top this? The guy's had a week of constant awe and wonder, and he's been embraced by an entire nation as one of our own. Now he gets to go see an Ella Langley concert and MEET her? Surely, his European mind won't be able to comprehend this.

The picture of him and Ella that'll drop on June 18th will break the app. It might be bigger than the Ellen selfie at the Oscars. And I can't wait to see what other sidequests Freddy gets into before then.
