I've seen all the complaints. I've made some of them myself. Some people say the Oklahoma City Thunder are ruining the NBA. To the point that long-time fans say they can't even bring themselves to enjoy the sport anymore. I'd imagine a healthy portion of those fans just so happen to live in cities with competitive NBA teams. But there must be some folks in Oklahoma who are sick of the Thunder's bullshit as well. Fans who are at a crossroads, and tell themselves, "I don't enjoy watching Oklahoma City play basketball, but what am I going to do? They're the only premier professional sports team in the state. They could be the next great NBA dynasty. Outside of college football season, what else is there to cheer for."
Well what if I told you about 100 miles east of Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Oklahoma is already home to the greatest dynasty in the history of the state. And the dynasty is still ongoing. Meet the UV Okies Wii Bowling Team of the University Village Retirement Community.
That's 5 straight undefeated seasons for the UV Okies, and they're on the hunt for a sixth. There's no need to grit your teeth and force a smile as you pretend to respect the playing style of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Not when you can be enjoying the ethical stylings of ranked Wii bowlers from University Village. Not when you can watch the UV Okies go belt to ass on Bella Rose, and give Town Village the business all up and down the virtual lanes.
I might have to take a trip down to Tulsa myself for a little investigative journalism. Not that I question the credibility of the UV Okies and their 5 straight undefeated seasons. But in any competitive league, no matter the sport, no matter the age, there's always drama. There's always politics. I need to know more about the star of the team. I need to know if there's a team villain. I need to know who their biggest rival is, and if things have ever gotten heated in the community center.

How does one go about making the UV Okies Wii Bowling team? Is there a rigorous tryout process? Have the UV Okies ever been accused of recruiting, and moving seniors in from out of town the way catholic high schools do? Do people specifically move into University Village in hopes of earning a spot on the roster? I know there's far more depth to this league than we're seeing in these few short Instagram videos.
Anyways… I have it on good authority that Adam Silver has all but killed the NBA. But with the Tulsa City League popping off like this… a league with a formidable dynasty like the UV Okies… well move over lacrosse. Oklahoma Retirement Community Wii Bowling is the league of the future.
