Jason Williams' Daughter Mia Was Hit By 5 Pitches (And Hit 2 Monster Home Runs) To Lead Texas Tech Past Her Former Florida Gators Team

So I was kinda bored yesterday just flipping through the channels, and I stumbled upon this Texas Tech vs Florida softball game. Let me preface by saying this: Volleyball and Softball are two of the most entertaining sports to watch, but they get no shine because people who have never even watched simply hate on women's sports because they're assholes. So it's not like I'm going to live tweet them and get crushed every two seconds, but I enjoy a high stakes NCAA Softball / Volleyball game here and there.

Anyways, not only was this Texas Tech vs. Florida winner-take-all Super Regional a great back and forth game, it also had an incredibly interesting storyline featuring our coworker Jason Williams. His daughter Mia, who was a stud at Florida for the last 2 years, transferred to Texas Tech and is now a monster there. And to make the WCWS, she had to go back TO Gainesville and beat the Gators.

So I watched the game, thought what I saw + learned was pretty interesting, but wasn't sure if the rest of the world would care. Posted my recap on TikTok and Facebook....and just woke up to them both being a million views. What the fuck? Now we post on Instagram and blog! Hand up, pre-Barstool After Dark Tate would've had this on the blog immediately. Fat, lazy, and eyes full of lemon juice....

Anyways, the video does the full recap but if you're in a spot where you can't watch, here's a quick summary:

- Mia Williams transfers from Florida to Texas Tech. It wasn't the cleanest of divorces by any means, plus Texas Tech brought in 15 transfers which has riled up the College Softball World

- Texas Tech and Florida meet in the Super Regional to go to the WCWS

- Florida hits Mia Williams with not one but two pitches in Game 1

- J Will gets briefly removed from the stadium before getting let back in, and a Gainesville Reporter says a Florida fan who allegedly hit J Will's daughter was ejected entirely

- Mia came up tot he plate in an 8-8 game in the Top of the 7th and hit the go-ahead / game-winning 2 run home run in front of her former team and fans

- GAME 2: Florida smokes Tech 10-2, but not before hitting Mia TWO MORE TIMES

- GAME 3: You won't believe this....Mia gets hit in her very first appearance at the plate. She's now been hit 5x in the series

- Down 4-3 as she takes the box for her 2nd plate appearance, she hits a home run to dead center to take the lead

- Tech and Florida parents are going nuts at each other all game, Floridas coach gets ejected

- Tech wins 16-7 and all hell breaks loose - Florida refuses to shake hands, Tech starts taunting the losing dugout on the field, both parents sections are screaming at eachother

- And to cap it all off, J Will goes onto the field and leads his daughters new team in a breakdown after beating not just her old team, but his alma mater as well

COLLEGE SPORTS ROCK!
