Philadelphia Crossing Guard Saves A Child After A Violent Crash, Also Made Sure To Get Himself Some Ice Cream On One of the Hottest Days of the Year
Somebody get this man a Presidential Medal of Freedom! At the very least, he deserves free Mister Softee for life.
What a hero we are looking at right here. Nobody knows how they'd react in a moment of crisis until you're actually there living it. And this fella right here? Well as soon as shit started to hit the fan, this man jumped right into action.
I mean thank god it was hot as balls out in Philly yesterday afternoon, which forced this man to stand off towards the shade a little bit. Had he been in his normal spot on the corner, it might have been curtains for him. But he knows the importance of staying cool out there. And he knows the importance of remaining cool under pressure, too. He's bobbin' and weavin'. He pulled what's her name's nephew out of the wreckage. The man is a literal hero.
And after a moment as intense as that, you need a little something to take the edge off. Luckily you know there was going to be a Mister Softee truck on the scene immediately. No better time to sling some ice cream than outside of a school right after a crash.
Sidenote: My favorite part of this interview is when he says "I swear, not to be funny", and then proceeded to give the funniest interview ever produced for television.
