The Beautiful Game: Ainhoa Perez Has Been Called Up To Cover The World Cup This Summer, Will Be The Breakout Star Of The Tournament
We're at the point of the year where leagues are starting to wrap up and we're getting all eyes on the World Cup. We're seeing the promos everywhere, announcements of announcers and soon we find out the roster. Good to see the US handle it like football with a THREE HOUR show
Reminds me of that year the NCAA Tournament decided to do the bracket reveal in alphabetical order and it took roughly 7 hours to get through. That sucked. But then I saw an announcement which is why that tweet is leading the blog off. Ainhoa Perez is part of a Dream Team that we've declared here before.
She made a name for herself during the Club World Cup but that was just the preseason. That's a warmup event.
You see, she announced she's been called up to the big leagues
Translation says 'been called up to the World Cup' so that's how I know it's true. And now we're on breakout star watch. People could talk about players, but we still need to sit through 180 minutes of a show to figure out who is joining Pulisic and Richards out there for us. Then I'll declare a player breakout star because I'm talking myself into a US run.

But this is about Ainhoa Perez. This is about sending a congrats for the call up. The World Cup is coming, go Ainhoa, go.
