Are you familiar with Swedish pop star Zara Larsson?

Apparently she's been grinding for years overseas but just started getting popular stateside over the past few months. She first popped up on my radar last fall after attending the VMAs with Livvy Dunne. Certainly a pretty savvy way to guarantee more eyeballs on your outfits.

Clever girl.

And now she's got a few bonafide Billboard hits to back up her high fashion too. Alysa Liu used her song 'Stateside' for that Gold Medal ice skating routine and 'Midnight Sun' should've been the song of last summer, except it was released in September. Maybe it'll have some second life as this spring starts to heat up?

Either way, the music video is definitely worth a watch or five. Great behind-the-scenes clips too. Stunning Swedish #art.

Which brings us to the point of this whole blog, or should I say the hole blog.

Because NO ONE out there today is twerking their asses off 24/7 like Zara is right now. She's making her concerts feel like a damn night at The Apollo! Homegirl is throwing it DOWN in ways the internet genuinely can't believe. A Swedish white girl with motion? Whoa.

Mind bottling stuff. But midas whale take a look y'all.

Especially since she just united her twerking powers with Tyla too.

I'd say Zara's rebrand is working out just fine.

Who knew throwing ass in bright colors could be such a hit huh?

Best of luck to her and that quest for world domination. She's terrific.

And hopefully you learned something useful today too. Clearly we could all use a little more Swedish ~~cheeks~~ flare in our lives.

Of course if you disagree, feel free to argue with the nearest wall brother. In the meantime I'll continue monitoring the situation and report back as needed. Twerk Friday ACTIVATE!
