1. Rousy vs Carano
I am by no means excited for this as a potentially good fight. I'm into it for the trainwreck potential.
2. Marty, Life is Short
This is a new doc on Martin Short who I still find hysterical. Jiminy Glick interviews are a go too whenever I'm looking for a laugh.
3. Burn After Reading
I love pretty much every Coen brothers movie but I think this one didn't get enough love. Really funny and only gets better with age. It also feels like one of the first movies outside of maybe Oceans to really let Brad Pitt get loose instead of being a mannequin.

1. Wuthering Heights
Advertisement
A passionate and tumultuous love story set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire moors, exploring the intense and destructive relationship between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw.
I wasn't a fan of this movie but the visuals and music were undeniably great. Just wish it fully committed.
2. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Traveling across the multiverse, Miles Morales meets a new team of Spider-People, made up of heroes from different dimensions. But when the heroes clash over how to deal with a new threat, Miles finds himself at a crossroads.
These movies are doing some of the most unique stuff in animation right now. Combine that with the world of spider-man and you get a banger.
3. The Florida Project
A single mother and the manager of a roadside motel do their utmost to maintain the innocence of a six-year-old girl's life.
Sean Baker movies have a blanket recommendation from me. There aren't many directors doing a better job delivering an authentic look at America's underbelly.
COMING TO HBO MAX:
May 1st: A Good Day to Die Hard, Despicable Me, Saltburn, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Crazy Rich Asians, The Florida Project, Walk the Line, Wuthering Heights
May 4th: Insidious: The Red Door

May 24th: Tomb Raider (2018)

Hulu
1. Sicario
An FBI agent joins a covert DoD task force targeting a Mexican cartel. Operating outside legal boundaries with a CIA handler and a mysterious fixer, she discovers the mission's true purpose goes far beyond what she was told
I don't need to pitch you on the pinnacle of the frontier trilogy.
2. Alien Romulus

While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonists come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
Hulu cheats by taking this on and off streaming all the time but I still love it. Kept the retro-futurism production value and delivered a cool story.
3. Blood In, Blood Out
Based on the true life experiences of poet Jimmy Santiago Baca, the film focuses on step-brothers Paco and Cruz, and their bi-racial cousin Miklo.
This is NOT a good movie but it holds a place in my heart.
May 1st: Blood In Blood Out, Con Air, Coyote Ugly, The Departed, Holes, The Infiltrator, The Internship, I Robot, Joy Ride, The Kings Man, The Last Duel, Love and Monsters, Meet the Spartans, Minority Report, The Other Guys, Panic Room Philadelphia, The Prestige, Robots, Rogue One, Sicario, Star Wars IV-V, Super Troopers, Take Me Home Tonight, War of the Worlds, White Chicks
May 8th: We Bury the Dead
May 21st: Alien Romulus
Prime Video
1. Tom Clancy's Ghost War
Follows Jack Ryan who reunites with CIA operatives to navigate a treacherous web of betrayal against an enemy who knows their every move, facing a past they thought was long put to rest.
This series is pretty up and down. At the heights, it does some entertaining espionage stuff. At the lows, it makes it crystal clear to me that this sort of action stuff is NOT in Krasinski's bag. But I'm willing to give any Tom Clancy slop a shot.
2. One Battle After Another

When their enemy resurfaces after 16 years, a group of ex-revolutionaries reunite to rescue the daughter of one of their own.
This has been on HBO for a bit but, in case you haven't seen the Oscar-darling, you can check it out now.
3. Rush
James Hunt and Niki Lauda, two extremely skilled Formula One racers, have an intense rivalry with each other. However, it is their enmity that pushes them to their limits.
I was just talking to Klemmer and Robbie about how great this movie is. Great race action and performances from Hemsworth and Bruhl.
