Europeans Are Losing Their Minds About the Inability To Walk to MetLife Stadium for the World Cup
Transportation to World Cup matches at MetLife Stadium has been a big topic in the last couple weeks, with New Jersey Transit announcing that a train ride from Manhattan to the stadium — which normally costs $12.90 — will be $150 this summer. This has certainly upset the American fans whom this will inconvenience, but it seems to be causing a catastrophic meltdown for some of our friends in Europe.

It seems the Euros' current plan is to walk the 10 miles from Manhattan to MetLife Stadium, traversing interstate highways and the labyrinth that is the Meadowlands — and that unsettling empty mall that's somehow still open — once they get there. Best of luck to all who choose to embark on the journey of being part of the "zombie herd" that will shut down the Jersey Turnpike.
Nobody in America is saying it's preferable that MetLife Stadium is located in the middle of nowhere and difficult to access. But we are trying to give some forewarning that them's the breaks and people will have to figure out a way to handle that if you're planning on attending a World Cup match in New York. It seems like many footy fans from across the pond, however, are hellbent on traveling to the stadium like they do to their local team which plays in a 12,000-seat ground connected to apartment buildings.
I guess we'll see which side wins out in a few weeks.
