Dianna Russini RESIGNS From The Athletic Amidst The Mike Vrabel Rooftop Drama With A Long Letter Written To Her Editor Steven Ginsberg
Man, oh Manischewitz, life on the internet moves fast huh? Just a few days ago NFL reporter Dianna Russini was merely sidelined by The Athletic while they investigated the rumors about her & possible canoodling with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
But now before that internal look could go any deeper, she's RESIGNED from her position there citing public misinformation & her contract ending in June as the biggest reasons why.
As Shaquille O'Neal once said, "aw damn".
“I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published. When the Page Six item first appeared, The Athletic supported me unequivocally, expressed confidence in my work and pride in my journalism. For that I am grateful. In the days that followed, unfortunately, commentators in various media have engaged in self-feeding speculation that is simply unmoored from the facts. Moreover, this media frenzy is hurtling forward without regard for the review process The Athletic is trying to complete. It continues to escalate, fueled by repeated leaks, and I have no interest in submitting to a public inquiry that has already caused far more damage than I am willing to accept. Rather than allowing this to continue, I have decided to step aside now — before my current contract expires on June 30. I do so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career.”
Who knows what the truth is here but no matter the case, it's certainly sad to see their families get dragged into all this drama too. Tough scenes all around.

Good luck to all parties involved figuring this shit out.

And if Dianna ends up becoming my coworker someday, hopefully she understands these blogs aren't personal at all! Farming national pageviews are just part of our job here at Barstool SPORTS. No offense. Vaya con dios.

If we’re just being honest this explanation really makes zero sense. I don’t think anybody should lose their job over alleged canoodling but this statement makes it seem like there was definitely canoodling happening. An innocent canoodler would prob welcome a thorough investigation to prove their innocence and exonerate themselves right? This screams guilty canoodler to me.
