Isiah Thomas Will Never Give Up His Beef With Michael Jordan, Now Suggesting That If Kevin Durant Was On The 90s Bulls They'd Still Win 6 Titles

If there's one thing I'll always respect, it's a good old-fashioned grudge. When you are so fueled by hate that decades can go by and your grudge remains as strong as ever. While there are plenty of examples of this within the Barstool universe, for my money, it doesn't get much better than Isiah Thomas' longstanding feud/beef/grudge with Michael Jordan. Sure, it's mostly one-sided, but things are as strong as ever in 2026.

Our latest dig? Isiah's thoughts regarding Kevin Durant passing MJ on the all time scoring list

I mean, that's some Grade A Hater stuff right there folks. I'm pretty sure Isiah wouldn't agree with the idea that if the Pistons replaced him with say, Chris Paul, that they would still have won those two titles, but when it comes to Jordan's 6 rings? Shit, anyone can do it, even KD! Honestly, of all the things Isiah has said, this may be one that he let his hatred/beef with MJ go a little too far. This isn't to suggest KD isn't a great player, of course he is, but I'm not totally sure he'd be as effective with the "Jordan Rules" we saw MJ have to deal with. I watched with my own eyes how being super physical with KD back in 2022 resulted in a brutal series for him and a 4 game sweep of the Nets.

If you are somehow unaware, this if course all goes back to Isiah being snubbed from Team USA

and ever since Isiah has never passed up an opportunity to take some shots

I mean, we're nearly 40 years into this thing, so at least Isiah is a man of his word when he said the beef isn't ending until he gets an apology, which we all know is never going to happen.

The thing I can't get past with this latest shot from Isiah is that I'm a firm believer that once you have to go the hypothetical route, your argument is cooked. You hear that shit all the time "oh replace Player X with Player Y and they'd be undefeated!". It's about as lame as it gets when debating/talking about sports in my opinion. If your overall point cannot be supported by facts, then I can't take you seriously. You often hear it a lot in the MVP debate, usually from fanbases who know their guy probably doesn't have as rock solid of a case in real life, so they turn to hypothetical situations.

So while I love the beef and continuing to hold his grudge, I can't say I'm on Isiah's side here. There were plenty of ways to give KD his flowers without both openly setting him up to get killed and also trying to tie it back to your beef with MJ. Sadly, it doesn't quite hit the same.
