To be fair to American Idol, I'm guessing that $1M worth of investment in Kelly Clarkson ended up being pretty fucking good for her. That $1M worth of investment from people who knew what they were doing at that time in Kelly Clarkson's career definitely seems to have paid dividends for Kelly Clarks
