Tyler Ford Might Be The Hero The NBA Needs But Doesn't Deserve For Not Rewarding Jaylen Brown's Razzie Quality Flop

I can't stop watching this clip of Jaylen Brown getting touched with all the force and power of a nervous fifth grader reaching for her waist on his first slow dance and it just blows my mind that a professional athlete's first thought would be to give a delayed JFK reaction in the most ho-hum part of a basketball game in mid-March.
We have a side angle too. Castle certainly lands the hand for the dance, but his date falls like he forgot he was wearing one of those hand held electrocutors.
Pretty clear what happened here. Brown got touched. No doubt. A 1/10 on the push rating with zero bodily momentum being put into it by Castle. Zero. That's the same energy of a push you put into your elderly grandmother to get her back standing straight when she needs a little boost. And you know who could see this better than anyone else? Tyler Ford. The ref who wasn't falling for Brown's razzie quality nonsense. Thank god a ref finally did this. At least this once. Any flop should immediately negate a foul anyway, but thinking this should be called a foul is everything that is wrong with where this league has chosen to go.

I love Greenie so much. I mean that. I've never met him, but we have great chats every now and then on the game and I help him run some stats every blue moon when he requests as I'm always happy to do. He's a true basketball and Celtics degenerate on a level I can't fathom. I love that. And I love even more that he has takes like this so I have someone to direct the hate side of my love/hate feelings on this game for a moment before moving on with life. With that said this was the dumbest thing I think anyone has ever wrote, said, thought, or dreamt under any amount of controlled substances.
I shouldn't put this all on Greenie though. Pretty much everyone in Boston is having a hissy fit over this. But let's review a clip of the entirety of this incident.
First off. The flop was obvious. There is no full extension of Castle's arm. He reaches out just enough to simply put his hand on Brown. To be forced to fall over by a hand touch with zero bodily momentum at best points out how weak Jaylen Brown is. Of course, that's not the case. Brown isn't weak. He's just a terrible actor. So you can imagine his embarrassment when things didn't go his way. And he got plenty of leeway before getting teed up anyway. Reggie Miller even pointed out "he better not get a technical" right before. Not exactly something you say unless a guy is doing something worthy of a technical. But when you vehemently charge at a ref to the point where your teammates have to hold you back, that's about as easy of a T as they come. And wow - how shocking - when he came back and did it again who'd have guessed they would call it again? What are we doing here, guys?
By the way. This synchronized "you're tossed" by Keldon Johnson on the bench was objectively hilarious.
Question for Boston fans. How many times would Wemby have earned charging and swearing at the refs for this missed call before getting tossed? 10? 20?
This entire thing is just another symptom of why so many people who used to love watching basketball now hate it. If you want to say the refs suck because they're inconsistent as hell I'll agree with you 100 percent, but we can't get mad when they sometime do get it right.
