Shakira Put Out A Highlight Reel Of Her Dancing To 'Hips Don't Lie' Over The Last 20 Years And It's Time To Respect The Run Of Greatness

Let's go back to 2005 for a second. A year that Hips Don't Lie came into our world and Shakira made me feel a certain way. Probably made you feel a certain way too if you're around the age of 40. I was unaware that hips could do that, that they could in fact not lie. But now? Now we're talking about a legendary run, greatness even. You don't see something last 20 years that much these days. Plus, we're talking mixtape/highlight reel here. The same way we remember Noel Devine, Seventh Woods, Aquille Carr, all the greats of the mixtape world.

Well, here it is:

29 to 49, don't matter, still got it. Can't say we should be surprised when she stole the world in the first ever ass shakeoff at the Super Bowl halftime show

She's still putting on shows

And we have to remember she came up when music videos matter. Like I said, go back to 2005. You'd slap on your finest pair of long ass shorts, probably a lot of plaid and get there to see some TRL. That's when we started making lists and arguing about said lists. God forbid the wrong music video was at number 1. Well, Shakira was part of that time and still putting out mixtapes for it. Respect the legendary run.
