Believe: The Guy Who Played Dani Rojas In 'Ted Lasso' Is Reportedly Training With An American Pro Soccer Team, Club Deciding On His Roster Spot This Week

Well, what the hell is this? You're telling me 35-year old guys can just come out of retirement and play sports again? That seems like bullshit, but again, when you're playing a pretend soccer player after being a real soccer player what's really stopping you. And I know what you're thinking:

1) Yes, this is a real team. The USL Championship is the 2nd tier in the US, just behind the MLS

2) This apparently isn't a publicity stunt or marketing for Ted Lasso Season 4

Obviously it will help with ticket sales if this all happens. No duh, not like selling tickets to a 2nd tier American soccer team is the easiest thing in the world. But, this is also the club that gave us Diego Luna and if he's going to be playing for the US at the World Cup, we respect Diego Luna's game around here. Guy goes balls to the walls at all times.

Celebrities all across the world are getting into soccer, so I can't really blame Dani Rojas here. The guy was an awesome soccer player in a fake world and apparently decent in real life before knee injuries took him out. Not sure how you improve knees at 35, everything I've learned is the opposite, but I digress. The news is already out that he's playing preseason matches, you gotta sign him for a day. Give him like 15 real minutes and let's see what happens. Or be realistic and stop trying to convince 35-year olds they are still in peak athleticism.
