A Ref Tackle, Josh Schertz Sprinting To Become An Enforcer - This Bench-Clearing Brouhaha Between SLU/VCU Is Perfect A-10 Basketball

I love everything about this. A dumb move at the end of the game leading to a perfect basketball fight. I didn't say that, Josh Schertz did: 

Gotta hand it to Schertz though. That man was MOVING off the bench to try and prevent suspensions. He knows what he has with his team and can't be having guys getting suspended for throwing a punch or anything dumb like this. Speaking of which, how about the ref at the 1 minute mark. Perfect form tackle

Then carried him around like a toddler. If I ever get into a fight 1) something has gone terribly wrong because why the fuck would I fight someone at 40-years old? and 2) please don't carry me around like a 4-year old crying. I request kindly you just punch me in the face vs having a ref of all people pick me up. Can't have it, won't allow it. 

But the fact is this is perfect A-10 basketball. I've said it about this conference before, it's still one of the good ones. I don't mean good ones in terms of good basketball. The basketball is usually bad and they beat the hell out of each other and ruin any sort of tournament bids for half the teams. But they hate each other. Their fans are a bit off the deep end basically begging to be a major conference while having 1.5 good teams. But these are the good teams. These are the two teams that are actually decent. But watch the video again. The person yelling that VCU are bums is such a perfect A-10 fan. 

Well done, boys. Protect your teammates, don't throw punches and add some animosity for that A-10 Tournament.
