No Need For A Coaching Search: Metta Sandiford-Artest (aka Ron Artest) Is Saying He Wants The Kansas State Job And It'd Be A No-Brainer For Him

We all know that Jerome Tang got fired and the fallout from this. I seep people making their lists of who should want the job, who realistically could get the job, all that stuff. Well, no need. The coaching search is over thanks to one tweet: 

Yep. Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace aka Panda's Friend now known as Metta Sandiford-Artest wants to be the next head coach. Fuck it, why not? You're Kansas State! You're not a good basketball program. Your homecourt is known as the Octagon of Doom which somehow feels like it needs Artest. There's connections to New York, mostly I'm just thinking of Marquis Nowell. You're going to have to pay Jerome Tang his money, so save some and hire Artest a little cheaper.

Now the chances of this are obviously 0%, but take a shot. At least let him come be the interim coach for a couple games. Let's see if he can fire the boys up and get a win or two after Tang got fired. Actually, I want to see this. Hold open tryouts for interim coaches. You never know who you can find, see their schemes and pay them a per diem for a couple practices and a game. You can't say Artest has never coached. The man was in player development for the South Bay Lakers from 2017-18. Good enough for a game. Get the man to the other Manhattan. He's made progress! It's a no-brainer!
