Watch This When You're High - Who Built These Shadow Figures?

So there I was, deleting social media for Lent, when this above tweet popped up in my feed.

A welcome respite from the non-stop horror of the Epstein files, a tweet that asked "Who made the mysterious shadow figures?" instantly captivated me. When the video depicted a man in front of a pyramid I was absolutely sold. Name your price.

Below is the full video that I highly recommend watching -

In it, the hosts wandering around Saqqara thinking they’re looking at ancient tombs, when it occurs to them that they're actually in an ancient science lab.

They start in underground tunnels and chambers that look less like burial spaces and more like something out of a sci-fi movie set. The rooms echo like crazy, the stone changes from dense granite to limestone in deliberate ways, and there are empty chambers and niches that they think might have been designed to amplify sound like a giant ancient speaker system. Even the wall carvings get reinterpreted, instead of just religious art, they point to scenes showing massive granite pillars being shipped down the Nile from Aswan and symbols they say show gold processing and industrial activity.

They find polished alabaster blocks hidden under the floor with tiny channels carved into them. The hosts say they’re too shallow for water and might have held copper wiring, which leads them to speculate about acoustics, vibration, and even electrical effects. From there the theory snowballs: pyramids using water pressure, natural gas deposits, and chemical reactions to produce useful compounds. In another chamber, they show a giant granite container that once had copper lining and a plug on top, which they think functioned like a pressurized gas tank. Down in the Serapeum, the famous giant granite boxes aren’t treated as bull coffins but as precision-engineered containers locked into the floor, polished like mirrors, with little dimples that might have removed cracks.

This comment on the video really jumped out at me -

So true.

Is any of this proven? No.

But is it fascinating to think ancient Egypt might have been part temple complex, part chemical plant, part resonance chamber built to harness nature? Absolutely.

It’s basically two hours of what if the pyramids were less funeral home and more Breaking Bad lab?

Keep the suggestions coming. Keep them classy. No butt stuff.
