It Sounds Like Luis Ortiz Is Willing To Throw Emmanuel Clase Under The Bus In The MLB Pitch Rigging Scandal

So we all the backstory, but Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz were busted last baseball season for allegedly rigging pitches and conspiring with gamblers to make money. It's the dumbest move in the history of crime when you look into the numbers of what they could've made continuing to play baseball and what they made from throwing first pitch balls on purpose.

Well, they were both federally indicted and the story has sort of been at a standstill as of recent (except for the fact that Clase apparently purposefully fucked up in 48 different games and more than 250 separate pitches) until now when my newest favorite part of the story has come to light: Luis Ortiz is ready to throw Emmanuel Clase right under the bus.

Ortiz is arguing that he was just a victim in the entire case, which I'm not saying whether it's true or not but a couple things:

- It does add up that Clase threw 250+ fixed pitches and Ortiz only threw 2.....so it could be true that Clase got Ortiz involved

- In my eyes that doesn't make Ortiz innocent? You still knew what was right and what was wrong.

So if the idea is that Ortiz thinks throwing his boy under the bus is going to get him to pitch in Major League Baseball again, I got bad news for you buddy. This move may throw the absolute hammer at Clase and I guess lessen your sentence? But the idea of making millions to play a child's game has come and gone when you threw this pitch:

**Side Note: Have I ever been more right about something in my entire life than I was about Emmanuel Clase being the rightful winner of the Cy Young Award two seasons ago? I mean the guy put up those stats while allegedly working with the mob to throw first pitch balls to batters! Imagine if all he was doing was trying to win games!
