The Warriors Apparently Had Many Issues With Jonathan Kuminga, Including One Of His Family Members Taking Too Much Food From The Warriors' Family Room
Poor Jonathan Kuminga, man. He showed signs of being a pretty elite player for the Warriors, and then somehow it just all crumbled. His stat line this year is absolute dog water but the Warriors offloaded him for a package to get Porzingis. I know the Warriors need a stretch 5 who can also protect the rim but I don't really know if the answer to their problems is a team of *checks notes* Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, and Kristaps Porzingis.
Anyway, this isn't a Warriors blog, this isn't even really about basketball. We're here to talk about the Warriors being upset with Kuminga's family for eating too much food in the family room! I don't even know where I land on this. On one hand, you're paying the guy a two year, $48.5 million contract to be one of the key pieces for your team. Let his family eat food! On the other, what if the family was going so crazy that Steph Curry's family couldn't get any? Then we have a problem.
This is another example of how the NBA is just not a serious sport. Trades happen and a week later you get reports about how they've been mad for months because a family member took an extra chicken wing from the buffet. Come on man. Then you've got the Centels of the world and you're not ever really sure you can trust anything in the NBA world. But this seems to be a real report, and if you're a Warriors fan, it may get worse before it gets better. At least they've got that whole 4 rings in 7 years thing.
