This Video Of A Fan Apparently Throwing A Drink On The Court Is The Newest Theory Of What Caused Jamarques Lawrence To Slip, Nebraska To Lose Last Night
I hate this ending so much mostly because of how wild the game was. You had Purdue jump Nebraska early, have this big lead, nearly choke it away, a bunch of missed free throws and then overtime. I want games to end with at least a shot attempt. Give me that half second of belief that it might go in or we see a defensive play. But a slip? A slip fucking stinks, especially when you have no rooting interest in a game.
But now the arguing is growing more and more. It started with this tweet from former Purdue player/current staff member:
A lot of people saying that didn't happen. But we have video. A damning video even
There's an argument about when this throw happened. It's clearly late in the game, but did it happen right before the slip? Either way this person sucks. Stop throwing beer, drinks, whatever near a court or just in general. Feel like I shouldn't have to say that and I'm a person who has to make sure drinks aren't spilled all the damn time at my house. Just drink your beer and don't give up a million offensive rebounds. That seems like a good start.
You have Nebraska fans arguing that it was a combo of vaseline and TKR's water bottle
My guess? It's a mix of it all plus sweat. The mop guy didn't do his job. That's what it comes to in terms of the slip. But again, Nebraska did this to themselves. Went down too big, didn't play great and then the slip happens. Love a good dumb argument though. This is now the Big 10's Zapruder film, at least until the next game, because every game is chaos.
