Lindsey Vonn Claps Back At Lame Twitter Docs Who Are Attempting To Minimize How Insane It Is That She's Going Through With Her Olympic Race Despite Suffering a Torn ACL And Bone Bruise Just Days Ago

Getty Images. As we begin the Winter Olympics in Italy a bunch of the talk has centered around 41 year old Lindsey Vonn, who despite suffering a torn ACL during a crash in practice is still somehow planning on racing on Sunday. Yesterday she posted her workout routine, involving squats and box jumps.
And today she went through a training run…
Obviously I'm not a doctor, but it feels like competing at an Olympic level in any active sport should be impossible just days after tearing your ACL and suffering a bone bruise on top of that. Pat, a recent ACL rupturer, wrote a blog earlier on the above video where he offers the idea what she's doing is impossible. This is an incredible effort by her to keep going and compete for her country in what I imagine would be her final Olympics.
Somehow there are people out there attempting to downplay her effort. Twitter docs have taken to the internet to offer their advice, attempting to convince people what she's doing isn't all that impressive.
Vonn clapped back, explaining her ACL is 100% torn and was fully operational before the crash.

While it's possible that this is more do-able than playing football or basketball where cutting is imperative, there's also no reason to try and take away what she's doing here. Yet here are these twitter docs trying to down play all of this. I won't have any of it! In this household we treat torn ACLs with all seriousness and we root for Lindsey Vonn.
