Tony Dungy Takes the Coward's Way Out by Refusing to Admit He Didn't Vote for Belichick or Mr. Kraft for the Hall of Fame

We know two things about the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame voting with total certainty:

1. Bill Belichick and Mr. Kraft are not getting in this year.

2. There was a conspiracy to keep them out.

That's a highly-charged word, loaded with connotations. But in this case, it applies in the definitive sense, in that it involved two or more people working together, in secret, toward a common goal. That's how the information about these two men has come out, but have no information whatsoever about the other candidates. Adam Schefter cited "multiple league sources" as he broke the story. He might as well have called them, "multiple conspirators."

We don't no with 100% certainty who the ringleader is, but the evidence all points to one person of interest. Someone who had motive, means and opportunity to pull off this crime:

And the silence from (Na)Polian has been deafening. If he wasn't the mastermind who served up this cold dish of revenge, he'd have all the opportunity in the world to stand in front of a camera - hell, to just go on X - and protest his innocence. The fact he hasn't is all the admission of guilt anyone should need.

But what about Tony Dungy? The long time capo in Polian's crime family was also in that room when the knives came out. The Brutus to Polian's Gaius Cassius Longinus. And he too, is being as big a chickenshit about it as his old boss:

"Brutus says that Belichick and Kraft were ambitious. And Brutus is an honorable man." - Julius Caesar, Act III, Scene II

I don't mind so much that Dungy acted out of resentment and spite toward the men who enjoyed tremendous success at his expense. Even though that life lesson probably doesn't appear anywhere in his dumb, insipid book:

But just be a man about it.

Own up to it. Look America in the eye, admit it, and state your reasons. Mention how you were so convinced the Patriots had the visiting locker room bugged like it was Col. Klink's office that you used to pull Peyton Manning out into the hall to talk strategy. Say that you actually think Spygate was a big deal, and let reporters ask you about having guys on your staff who basically invented the idea of point a camera at the sidelines:

Tell us your theory on Deflategate, and let someone prove how wrong you are with basic middle school science, while pointing out the NFL has never released the air pressure data that for about two years was the most important issue in America.

But no. That's too big an ask. Hall of Fame voting has to be kept a secret. It's sacred. Protected. Like voting for President or what you say in the Confessional. Because God forbid the public know who you think belongs in or doesn't, and what your reasoning is.

Pathetic. Fucking, pathetic.

To Dungy and (Na)Polian and all the other small-minded members of the frat who don't want to let in any of the pledges who are cooler, funnier, and better looking then they are and will get all the coeds attention at the next mixer, congratulations. You did it. You pulled it off. It's just that in doing so, you turned yourselves into the loser house on campus.
