The Kids Are Alright: We Have Another Brawl Coming Out Of Youth Sports, This Time In A Box Lacrosse Championship Game
We lost our way as a society for a few years. I don't know exactly what triggered it, but the world went soft for a while. Overly protective parents wanted to coddle their little Tommy's and Johnny's. They wanted to take all physicality out of sports. There was a time not too long ago where a moment like this would have resulted in 50 moms all storming out onto the field screaming "Noooo! Stop it!" simultaneously.
But nature is healing. In the background of this video, you can hear the moms laughing along. All the parents give the fellas a big cheer once this brouhaha wraps up. And, sure, maybe it was more of a playful rumble than anything. You have two teams from the same club facing each other in the championship, so they decided to have a little fun with a bench clearing brawl at the end of the game.
This is what it's all about. Everybody find a partner, and start swinging. And how about the goalies getting after it, huh? Couple of young legends in the making right there. I see a bright future for both of those boys in about 13 years.
Some good scraps all around. We're not even a full month into 2026 yet and we already have a couple of brawls coming out of youth sports. Things are looking up for the next generation.
