Skeletor Shines In 1st Trailer For 'Masters Of The Universe' Along With Alison Brie, Camila Mendes, & Idris Elba. Could This He-Man Reboot RULE?

Honestly I'm not even close to being a fan of 'Masters Of The Universe', was more of a Ninja Turtles/Power Rangers/Transfomer kid. But I'll admit this trailer definitely piqued my interest. Even without seeing that many episodes of the old 80s cartoon, I can still smell that well cooked nostalgia dripping through screen. And hey, if it's done the right way that can be a great thing.

Plus at my ripe old age I try not to judge mindless action movies too harshly anymore. Mainly I just ask myself, "will this be fun after a few bites of mushroom chocolate?" and call it a day. I'd say this movie already passed that test with flying colors. Literally.

And so far THE INTERNET seems to agree? Can't say I've seen many reboot trailers get so many positive comments within the first 24 hours of release. Something must be scratching that nostalgic itch in a very big way.

Possibly a Skeletor-sized scratch too. Which is even more impressive considering everyone on earth seems to hate the likely vegan guts of Jared Leto. Wonder how long he spent method acting to find the perfect HEH HEH HEH HEHHH laugh.

Now I obviously can't claim to be a He-Man expert but based off looks alone I'd say they crushed it with his casting too. Although it's too bad they didn't give Dolph another shot. I'm sure he's still got the mass to play that part. And you know he's always ready to shoot some full penetration.

Then it's back to Castle Grayskull for more test in the lab.

Plus they got Alison Brie, Camila Mendes, Idris Elba, & Kristen Wiig rounding out their cast too. As is tradition in this blog, I don't know dick about any of these characters but chocolates or not, I'll certainly watch Alison & Camila in anything they do. But cards on the table, seeing Battle Cat in IMAX might fuck me up on those shrooms. We'll see.

Of course there were a handful of detractors online who think this movie is gonna be a piece of woke garbage. And ya know what? Maybe it is! I have no fuckin' idea pal. I'm just trying to get some easy pageviews on a freezing cold Friday. Relax.
