Congrats To The Future No. 1 Pick - No One Was More Locked In On Fernando Mendoza Last Night Than Raiders Owner Mark Davis
That look right there says it all. That's a man who is in love. That's a man who just realized he for sure has his number 1 overall pick. Look, people will argue for years to come about whether or not Mendoza is worth of the No. 1 pick, but the Raiders don't have a quarterback. Geno Smith isn't good, we can stop pretending like that's the answer. The fact is Mendoza can kinda do it all, yeah he's the generational pick that we've had before, but it's what the Raiders have in front of them. He's even playing it cool:

Now, sure, the offensive line is still a shitshow in Vegas, but if you have a chance to land QB1, you have to do it. I don't know how you watch that game last night and get a little pumped if you're a Raiders fan. You have to think there's a shot that Mendoza figures out the NFL fast and at least provides some entertainment and not be a disaster out there. We also saw he can take a beating
That said, it's still weird seeing Brady wear Raiders stuff, right? I get the investment and there's only so many jobs with teams and all that stuff. But, it's Tom Brady. That man is the Patriots. Throw in the history with the Tuck Rule and it just doesn't look right. But if Brady likes Mendoza, the Raiders like Mendoza.
So congrats to Fernando. We know who is going number 1 come April. It's not going to be a secret, it's not really surprising either. When Mark Davis looks at you like that, he's going to draft you. That's just a fact.
