"PULL OVER OR I'LL KILL YOU!" - Kiefer Sutherland Got Arrested After Allegedly Going FULL Jack Bauer On An Uber Driver Who Refused To Pull His Car Over
DAMNIT Chloe, before we get into that headline... Do yourself a favor and give that video above a watch.
Whether you're a fan of '24' or not, those highly illegal interrogation scenes always go down smooth. And also really makes me yearn for those weekly treats from Kiefer Sutherland in the early 2000s. NOBODY did an impassioned angry scream like him man. And make no mistake about it, Special Agent Jack Bauer IS one of the greatest characters in TV history. That's undeniable. In fact I guarantee you could start '24' from the very beginning right now and it'll still hold up as one of the most thrilling shows ever, with intense twists you'll never see coming. Plus A LOT of bad terrorists get fucked up.
Fun for the whole family!

So as a pretty huge fan myself, my Spider Senses were tingling after hearing about this recent dispute with an Uber driver who wouldn't let Kiefer out of the moving car. Apparently, and allegedly, no injuries occurred to the driver but Chief Kief still got hit with an arrest for making a criminal threat, along with a $50,000 bail charge.
Absolutely impossible not to imagine this playing out like a deleted scene from '24'… I can feel those Jack Bauer screams in my plums!
(TMZ) - Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Kiefer told police he was having dinner with a friend Sunday night. Late in the evening, he called for an Uber Black, the driver arrived, Kiefer jumped in and they were on their way to Kiefer's home.
For some reason, during the drive, Kiefer told the driver to pull over and let him out. Kiefer told cops the driver refused, and Kiefer twice more asked the driver to pull over, to no avail. At some point, according to the Uber driver, Kiefer threatened to kill him if he didn't pull over. The driver, who called 911, claims Kiefer assaulted the driver with his hands.
As for what dispute triggered the confrontation, it could be a language barrier. Our law enforcement sources say, when cops arrived, the Uber driver -- who spoke Russian or Armenian -- requested a translator. LAPD then called someone who spoke his language. We're told the driver never alleged an injury, but Kiefer was arrested for a felony … making a criminal threat
Glad there weren't any serious injuries involved because it's truly hilarious that Kiefer is seemingly only a few steps away from reverting back to Jack Bauer at any given moment.
(Rolling Stone) - The incident wasn’t Sutherland’s first brush with law enforcement. After one DUI charge in 2007, he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 48 days in jail. He later faced misdemeanor assault charges in New York for allegedly headbutting fashion designer Jack McCollough in 2009. Sutherland and McCollough issued a joint statement after the incident. “I am sorry about what happened that night and sincerely regret that Mr. McCollough was injured,” Sutherland wrote in the statement. Prosecutors dropped the case.
Could possibly be some kind of modern day Candyman situation? If you force Kiefer to repeat himself (3) times without the answer he's looking for… You're getting a hand on your throat along with a swift headbutt and a screaming retort threatening your life unless you tell him where the detonators are.
For me? That sounds like the absolute dream! For this random foreigner who doesn't speak a lick of English? It was likely legitimately terrifying. Lest we forget, even Santa Claus wasn't safe from the long dick of Agent Bauer's law.
But hopefully it all comes out as one big misunderstanding and Kiefer gets those charges dropped. They do say there's no such thing as bad publicity so fingers crossed this event also reminds Hollywood how much we're all waiting for a legitimate '24' reboot with Kiefer returning to scream at full force. Their meager attempt to bring it back a decade ago was NOT it. Sucked in a very big way. But I'm ready to be hurt again.
Give us our guy back, DAMN IT!
