Kayla Harrison Is Reportedly Out Of The UFC 324 Co-Main Event And Superfight With Amanda Nunes
***BLOG UPDATED AT BOTTOM OF PAGE***
The UFC 234 card just took a major hit.
UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison has reportedly withdrawn from her highly anticipated co-main event SUPERFIGHT against Amanda Nunes, slated for January 24 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, due to a neck injury of some sort. Léo Walker Guimaraes was the first to have it, and Ariel Helwani has since confirmed it....
Obviously neck injuries are always dicey so if those reports are accurate, best wishes on a speedy recovery to Kayla.
This fight was set to mark a return to the octagon for Amanda Nunes, the former two-division UFC champ who was coming out of retirement specifically to challenge Harrison to determine the GWOAT. Dana White said it was easily his favorite fight on the card when I had him in the office last week….
For now, we don't know if there will be a replacement co-main, if Nunes still wants to fight someone else, or what. We do know the interim lightweight title bout between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett is still the headline attraction, and the rest of the card is sick as well….

Stay tuned for more updates.
UPDATE: Paramount has now confirmed the fight will be delayed, as Kayla had surgery on herniated discs in her neck yesterday….
