'We Have The Best Defense. The Whole World Knows That' - The Texans Defense Knows They Are Terrifying, Talking A Ton Of Shit To Back It Up
Uhh, no shit. I don't think it's really a debate that the Texans have the best defense in the world. If you wanted to bring up the Broncos or Seahawks, I'll listen, but I'll disagree. They beat the shit out of Aaron Rodgers last night, possibly even into retirement. They were the best offense on the field last night:
All I know is this defense is fucking terrifying. I know I'm just a blogger and if I got hit like Aaron Rodgers last night my life insurance would be kicking in, but that's how you make a statement. Plus, they know they have to do this because CJ Stroud just isn't that good. The more we watch him play, the more it's the first-year of his career being the outlier. I don't think he's awful, but what the shit was that last night? It looked like Stroud wanted to lose the game before he remembered it's impossible to do against the Steelers with the Texans defense.
Look, obviously they got the Steelers here, not hard to look great defensively against that offense. But, now it's time to see how real they are. They have to play a Pats team that can move the ball. We know about Drake Maye and what he can do, the two back system that Vrabel now has. But, the one thing that can happen is forcing turnovers, getting hits. It's kinda nice seeing some awesome defenses in the league again and the fact they matter. The first few games of the playoffs were shootouts, needing an offense to show up under 2 minutes to go and then it switched to the defenses.
- 49ers get the stop, granted it's the Eagles dogshit offense
- Pats/Chargers with 1 touchdown, Pats beating the shit out of Justin Herbert
- Texans not giving up a touchdown
Good old fashioned football right there.
