'I'm Going To Enjoy A Beverage First' - Nebraska Came Back From 16 Down At Indiana And Fred Hoiberg Just Wants A Damn Beer To Celebrate
We live in a weird time right now in the college sports world. I'm not even talking NBA Draft picks playing, transfer portal, NIL or anything like that. I'm talking about Indiana being undefeated in football, playing for a national title and Nebraska basketball being undefeated and a top-10 team in the country. Let me clarify that a bit, Nebraska basketball has the longest winning streak in the country and it's been over 300 calendar days since they've lost a game.
That includes today:
NFL playoffs? That can wait. The man just wants a beer and to relax. When you're the coach of America's darling in the college basketball world, you do what you want. You just capped off a week with road wins at Ohio State and Indiana, where people expected you to lose at least one. Nope. This team just knows how to win. They are legit awesome. The man enjoys numerous beverages at this point.
I think about the Fred Hoiberg situation quite a bit, mostly because I sit around my house working just with my dog around me. Not a lot to talk about. But he had Iowa State rolling. He is the Mayor of Ames. He leaves for the Bulls, comes back to Nebraska, arguably the worst power conference college basketball team in the country. Now this is where we are at. Get him and Cig at Kilroy's right away, the plane can wait.
