The Best Team in the NFL Is the Atlanta Falcons With Nothing On the Line
They did it again, folks. The Falcons flirted with blowing a 21-0 lead over the Super Bowl favorite Rams, but the only thing more powerful than Atlanta's desire to choke away a game in a fashion you've never seen before is their ability to win every one of them once it's been eliminated from playoff contention.
There's also a pretty good chance that win has bought Raheem Morris another year at the helm so we can do this whole song and dance agin next year. And the real cherry on top will be when the Falcons and Bucs both win next week and Atlanta actually finishes in a three-way tie for the NFC South crown but doesn't make the playoffs. This is why we do it, baby.
For those keeping track at home, this win also gives the Falcons a 4-1 record in primetime this year with wins over the Rams and Bills. If these guys played exclusively at night against the best teams in the NFL, they'd go 14-3.
What a team, man.
