One Of The Bravest Things You'll Ever See Is This Hero Named Ahmed el Ahmed Wrestling Away a Rifle From a Terrorist At The Horrifying Bondi Beach Shooting

Last night I went to bed with the Brown University school shooter still on the loose. I woke up to a new nightmare in Australia as two terrorists opened fire on a beach full of people at a Hanukkah event in Sydney. So far at least 11 are confirmed to have died, including a rabbi. It's horrifying in every way, especially since there are so many videos out there of the event unfolding in real time.

The video I cannot keep my eyes off of is the one above. While one of the shooters was taking aim on the beach, a hero named Ahmed el Ahmed snuck behind one of these psychos while unarmed and wrestled the rifle away from the terrorist. This bystander just totally alphas the guy like the bad ass that he is. You wanna talk about all-time bravery? That's it. The other gunman was just a few feet away on the overpass. The guy he wrestled the gun from could have also had another weapon on him. You lose that initial tussle and that gives the terrorist an easy shot on you. None of that mattered. This hero Ahmed, a father of two and owner of a local fruit shop, had to do something and saved countless lives doing so.

Turns out Ahmed was hit by the second shooter multiple times after and is at the hospital now recovering.

According to his cousin, who spoke to the local news, he had no previous experience with guns. That wasn't stopping him. We're talking a real life super hero right there. Hopefully he makes a fully recovery and we don't get to see the death toll rise any higher than it already is.

Our goal is to have this blog be an escape from the terrible shit that goes on in the world, but I just felt this hero should be acknowledged. If I'm ever down there I need to try his fruit shop.
