Rumors Suggest Oasis May Be Recording The Theme For The Next James Bond

Holy shit. Have I died and gone to heaven? Denis Villeneuve is directing the next James Bond movie and OASIS is rumored to record the theme? Please don't fuck this up, Bezos.

Everything about this feels like a stars aligning, match-made-in-heaven moment for music, movies, and even British culture in general. It's a no brainer for all parties involved and has to happen. Think of all of the British artists that have been given the opportunity to record Bond themes before; Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Matt Monro, Paul McCartney & Wings, Duran Duran, a-ha, Sheena Easton, Garbage, Adele, Sam Smith, Radiohead....that list almost seems incomplete without the Gallagher brothers in my eyes! Especially right now while they're bigger than they ever have been!

Listen to all of the Oasis/Gallagher brother songs that kinda sound like James Bond themes already:

-I'm Outta Time (2008)

-Let's All Make Believe (2000)

-Falling Down (2008)

-Gas Panic (2000)

-The Man Who Built The Moon (2017)

-Boy With The Blues (2008)

-The Girl With X-Ray Eyes (2015)

-Gone (2019)

There's also 'Freaky Teeth' - a Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds song - that was actually rumored to be a favorite of the James Bond producers back in the day....

Now the rumors about Bezos wanting his wife to kickstart her acting career with a role in this movie definitely worry me, and I guess he could micromanage this into disaster territory - but I've got the utmost faith in Denis Villeneuve to power through the studio notes and deliver a classic here....and you know what? I kinda love the recent Callum Turner Bond rumors....

I still support Aaron Taylor Johnson as a Bond choice, but I think Callum Turner would be fantastic as well. He's got that handsome/suave look without being too famous or recognizable for another role yet. But I really don't care who plays Bond as long as Oasis are behind the theme.
