Hell Yeah: Clark Lea Says Vanderbilt Will Play Any Team In The Country This Saturday, Need Notre Dame Or Miami To Call Them Right Now

Fuck yeah. I love everything about this. It's not going to hurt Vanderbilt to take on any game this weekend. In fact, we should turn this into a play-in tournament showcase event. Give me Vandy vs Notre Dame and Miami vs Texas. You're telling me you won't get into that? Those games would be more entertaining than some of the conference championships, which now mean almost nothing because of the expanded playoffs. I mean, yeah, obviously winning is awesome but it's not changing Ohio State/Indiana from having a bye. 

But all we keep hearing is who deserves to get in. BYU can win and get in. Alabama can win and get in. So fuck it add some more games that we can slap on and see if they change anything. There's nothing in the rulebook that says you can't schedule a game in two days to try and impress a committee. In fact there are no rules in college sports anymore and if you think there is a rule, you just sue the NCAA and win. 

This will win every fan over too. It's not like we're saying these 4 teams and the 2 winners are automatically in. It's just settling another data point on the field. It gives the committee something else to look at. All we hear is how Notre Dame didn't play anyone, Vandy's schedule, Texas has 3 losses. So settle it all out there for 60 minutes. At the minimum give us something else to watch. I say play it Friday night or super late night Saturday. Give us fans something else to watch when our eyeballs just want to see football. 

Again, this isn't saying a win guarantees them a spot in the playoffs or anything, but it can help. I just want to watch more football. I want to see these hypotheticals play out and see what happens. Fuck it, make a trophy and call it something like this: 

Anybody. Anytime. Anywhere. Not to mention, this happened before. BYU/Coastal did this a few years ago and it backfired for BYU, but it was still awesome. I want more games scheduled out of nowhere, no scouting, just go out and play football for 60 minutes. Someone needs to see if Clark Lea has the balls to play and schedule it right now.
