America's Team: Bethesda Women's Hoops Team Is Going Viral For Drilling A 3 While Down 72-0, Coached By Julian Newman's Dad And Playing With 4 Players

This right here is why you stay up and look around for random college basketball stuff. This coming from the women's world where we have America's Team. Bethesda University, a team of heart, grit and sometimes only 4 players. An NAIA school who decided to play a back-to-back to open the season. You want success in the NAIA level, you don't worry about load management. You get your ass out on that court and you battle. You battle so everyone puts this Chris Paul makes a jumper to cut the lead to 42 meme out there.

But, it gets even better. They are coached by Julian Newman's dad. If you don't know Julian Newman:

He was up there in terms of mixtape legends with Seventh Woods, Aquille Carr, Austin Rivers. You get the point. Well, that blog explains the story of Julian Newman and now we have his dad coaching this team. A team that only has 8 players on the roster. A team that suffered a close one in game 1, only a 69 point loss to San Diego. I'd like to think that this is just the women's version of what we saw last year:

Bad timing to get the flu. I don't know how legal it is, but you gotta just grab people off the campus rec center to fill out so you don't have to play with 4 players. Just find anyone who can give you a body before you go Norman Dale

Big three though. Finished with 13 points. That's how you battle. That's how you get a moral victory while not even sniffing a chance at getting to 1-1. Good prep for the NAIA world.

PS: Hilarious work by the announcers saying everyone has gone wild for the made bucket. That's how you sell something. Michael Cole would be proud.
