The Next Powerhouse: Master P Became President Of Basketball Operations For University Of New Orleans, Walks Into TCU And Gets A Win For His First Game
I was fairly joking back in February saying a mid-major powerhouse. I more so love the idea of big name guys, like a Master P, becoming associated with low-major basketball. I want this sport to be weird and the random fandoms and connections throughout the country should be a thing. It makes all the sense in the world for Master P to be tied to University of New Orleans basketball.
I'm sure people were ready to make fun of this at some point this year. People love making fun of shit like this. Me? I'm all in on the Privateers this year because I want nothing more than Master P at Dayton for a Tuesday night in March play-in game. Speaking of which, let's see how game 1 went.
That'll play! That's a step in proving Master P could win a title at some point in his coaching career. Speaking of which, even better is Master P is listed as an assistant coach too.
This is exactly the best part of college basketball. Does it mean anything for TCU in the grand scheme of things? Of course not. They can bounce back and still make the Tournament - even more reason we don't need expansion. But, the fact it's night 1 and we have people talking about Master P is such a perfect storyline.
Now, hit the damn music.
