Get Ready To Learn The Name Oscar Wembanyama Now That Footage Of Wemby's Younger Brother Has Hit The Internet

As we're about to enter Year 3 of Victor Wembanyama, it goes without saying that not only has Wemby already lived up to the generational levels of hype he had heading into the start of his NBA career, he's exceeded them. For the most part, every single thing we were promised when it came to him being a once-in-a-lifetime prospect appears to be happening and then some, even though he's still in the infancy of his NBA career. When you consider how good he already is and the fact that he's only 21 years old, it becomes very scary very quickly. Imagine what he looks like when he's say, 25? Or what he looks like when he enters his NBA prime years? Good luck!

I mention this because the time has come for us all to start preparing for the arrival of the next Wembanyama. Footage has emerged of Wemby's younger brother Oscar, and I think we all can guess where this is probably headed

6'7 at 18, a three-level scorer? Considering Wemby is still growing at 21, is it crazy to assume the same will be true with his younger brother? And while there's always the chance that this could end up being a Thanasis Antetokounmpo situation, given the immediate success of Wemby you have to think should if his younger brother continues to develop, there will absolutely be an NBA team that takes a flyer on him. If nothing else, maybe that helps recruit Wemby to join their team one day (if the Spurs aren't the team to do it).

Remember, there was a time when this clip of a 16-year-old Wemby hit the internet, and a lot of people were quick to call him a bust, that he'd never make it in the NBA etc

How'd that work out? As a reminder, Wemby would have won DPOY and been top 5 in MVP voting had he not been shut down due to blood clots last season. That was Year 2.

And while it's maybe a little unfair to expect Oscar Wembanyama to match the level of player we're currently seeing with his older brother, even if he's like 65% of that guy, that's a really really good player. Considering the new CBA and how important it is for teams to now find cheap young players who they can develop into real rotation players, I absolutely would want my favorite team to take a flyer on someone in the Wembanyama family. Especially if he continues to grow and gets closer to 7ft.

While he may not be the same type of sure thing prospect at this stage of his development, I'm just saying you may as well start preparing for another Wembanyama to potentially enter the league. I'd also lock the Spurs in to be the ones that draft him, and we all know how that goes. Knowing our luck, Oscar would immediately pan out to be a hit, and the Wemby Brothers will dominate the NBA for years to come. You may think that sounds crazy, but don't say I didn't warn you. We've seen this movie before.
