"I Don't Like His Ass" - In The Least Surprising News Of All Time Stephen A Smith Is STILL Crying About His Beef With LeBron

There are a lot of signs that tell you the NBA season his about to start up again. Teams are tweeting out their new promos/jereys/etc. We're getting word of new starting lineups like how the Rockets are starting KD at the SG spot and are about to unleash arguably the biggest starting lineup in NBA history. We're getting previews, predictions, etc.

And then of course, there's also the whole Stephen A Smith firing up his media tour again so he can talk about his beef with LeBron James. No, I'm not kidding. What, you thought this beef was over? Don't be silly. And despite obody really asking for it, when has that ever stopped Stephen A before?

I'm probably the furthest thing you could find in terms of being a LeBron Stan or any level of Lakers fan, but even I've had enough of this nonsense. I mean good God Stephen A, move the hell on already. We get it, you don't like LeBron because of everything that happened last season. Why he still feels the need to rehash this every couple of months is just getting sad at this point. 

That was in mid August! It's now mid-October and yet here we are, still doing the same old song and dance. All because why? LeBron called him out, and then went on TV to talk about how Stephen A was doing a media tour about their beef? Seems a little weird to be mad about that when you know, you were clearly doing a media tour about the beef with LeBron.

If we're being honest, I'm not really sure what Stephen A thought he was gaining by that rant? What about the entire situation is now different other than him continuing to look salty as hell that LeBron called him on his bullshit? Do we think LeBron has spent a single second thinking about that beef since it all went down at the end of March last season? My guess is no. But to have Stephen A try and play it off like he's not still mad and it's whatever they just don't like each other….I mean am I taking crazy pills? You very much care. You very much are still trying to squeeze every little bit out of this beef despite it being nearly 8 months ago. Everyone knows the side that keeps crying about it is the side that actually doesn't care. 

Instead of alluding to all these "shady" things LeBron has tried, why not say them out loud? Put it all out there. At this point, saying that stuff and then not explaining just makes you look lame as hell. At this stage of the beef, at least give us something new. I'm ready to hate on LeBron as much as any other LeBron/Lakers hater. The Decision 2.0 bullshit was a good start, but when it comes to something like this, I feel like it pushes me more towards LeBron's side which never makes me feel great. 

I don't know if Stephen A is feeling the pressure of NBC and Amazon entering the mix when it comes to NBA coverage and what that could mean for him at ESPN (probably nothing), but I can say with full confidence that nobody, and I mean nobody gives a shit that he still hates LeBron. If anything, it's now forced me to think that whenever he or the Lakers come up over the course of the season, Stephen A won't be able to put his bias aside. Again, I'm all for some LeBron/Lakers bashing, but this is getting beyond weird at this point.
