'Yeah, I Don't Like The Guy' - NC State's Darrion Williams Explains He Hates UNC Strictly Because Of Hubert Davis, Ignites The Rivalry Instantly

Love it. Love getting some animosity back in sports and we know that Will Wade will encourage his guys to let it all out. It's part of the reason why I'm happy Will Wade is coaching a power conference team again. He's funny, entertaining and has a little of the college basketball Lane Kiffin to him. But this is what stuck out. People will say Darrion Williams is wrong because he's transferred a ton, but I see a guy sticking up for his teammates. It doesn't matter if it was Texas Tech or now at NC State, he's going to defend his guys and that's why he hates Hubert Davis. Kinda hilarious that he just started his ACC career off by calling out this guy

To be fair I'm pretty sure most UNC fans want Hubert out too. He's one bad season away from everyone screaming it. But now you got Darrion Williams coming in and saying he's coached guys wrong. I don't necessarily think Davis did anything 'wrong' to someone like Ven-Allen Lubin, I just don't think Hubert Davis is that good of a coach. He was saved by a miracle run to the title game as an 8 seed.

Either way, this is what we need more of from media days. Stop all the boring coach talk and just saying that you're going to play faster, you think you're a Tournament team, anything like that. I want your new guy to say he hates your rival coach, exactly the way a rivalry should be.
