Nobody Had More Fun Last Night Than David Ortiz, Shouting "DAAAA YANKEES LOSE" With Vlad Guerrero Jr. Right in Derek Jeter & Alex Rodriguez Faces

I thought that might not ever end. I bet when they cut to commercial break David Ortiz called Vladdy back to yell Yankees lose a few more times. I'm not sure there's anybody on earth who has more fun on a regular basis than baseball players from the Dominican Republic. They're a jolly people. A passionate people. The whole brotherhood of Dominican baseball players just seems like such a delightful group to be in. 

I could watch Adrian Beltre head touching videos all day long.

But how couldn't they be happy? I don't have the stats in front of me, but they're from a country where I believe roughly all male children grow up to be a professional baseball players. What a fun life that must be. To play baseball from a young age with all your best friends knowing that 75% of you will play for the Boston Red Sox some day. No wonder they're always in such great spirits. And those who did play for the Red Sox... boy do they still hate the Yankees.

But nobody more so than David Ortiz. David Ortiz might be the breakout star of this postseason. Nobody had more fun, not even the Toronto Blue Jays themselves, than David Ortiz had last night. He threw a full-blown Yankees Lose Parade on the set of Fox Sports. 

He also made a Hitler joke the other day.

You gotta assume Derek Jeter is thinking to himself, "I am way too rich for this shit." 

Not so much A-Rod. Not that A-Rod isn't effectively just as rich. But A-Rod was born to clown around and take shit from David Ortiz on a television set. Derek Jeter doesn't strike me as a man who finds sombreros and Cancun jokes funny if it's not in his job description to do so. 

Athletes. They're just like us. They find just as much joy (if not more joy) in watching their rivals lose than they do when their own team wins.
