Dudes Rock: Video Of The PGA President Rapping 'Lose Yourself' On Saturday Night At The Ryder Cup Hotel Has Hit Social Media And It's Mesmerizing

I didn't think I'd still be talking about the Ryder Cup, but sometimes you can't help when something falls into your lap. Sometimes you get your breath taken away by something so beautiful, so mesmerizing, you're nearly at a loss for words. That's how I felt trying to write that headline. Mesmerizing is all I could come up with, because, well, check it out yourself:

Haven't seen karaoke like that since Ray Romano also broke out Lose Yourself:

But, this is about Don Rea, the PGA President doing this on Saturday night at the Ryder Cup hotel. Some would say it sparked the comeback. I think Don Rea needs to go to Adare Manor in 2027, drop this on Thursday night and the US wins 28-0. I do find it hilarious that the first tweet in this blog was saying this karaoke was a bad thing. Oh, some fans went over the line so the President of the PGA can't have himself a good time in the hotel bar? What do you want him to do after a long day of the Ryder Cup?

Speaking of the videos here though, when did Lose Yourself become the go-to karaoke for middle-aged dudes? We gotta scrap it and retire it with these two performances. Everyone knows the best karaoke songs are 1) pop punk from the 2000s, 2) one hit wonders from the 90s and 2000s and 3) boy bands. You play a classic like that and everyone gets going, plus you don't have to try to stay on beat.

I can't believe this video got out, but I'm so happy it did. We can talk about the US being better at singles play and not figuring out team play and that's why we lost, or we can talk about how this moment almost led the comeback. I choose to believe that.
