Pack It Up: Justin Fields Is Keeping A Positive Mindset By Talking About Getting Paid To Play A Game, Jets Season Might As Well Be Over Now
Oof. I've been on this Earth long enough and watched enough sports to know when a season is over. I'd say the Jets season has been long over, but this confirms it. When you got QB1 out here talking about being blessed to get paid to play a game, it's a wrap. It's done. Then again, this also might confirm it:
Just a banner week of quotes for the Jets. Garrett Wilson is good, I'll give them that. But when you start talking about being blessed to make money that we all would dream of, you're not competing for anything anymore. You're justifying why the team sucks instead of realizing it's a franchise problem that's been going on forever.
Even Jets fans know it's over. Reading through comments and everyone is saying the same thing. I actually think Fields has been *fine* for the Jets. Don't think he's a permanent answer or anything, but he's fine. The problem is they do everything dumb. They turn the ball over, they commit penalties, they give up game-winning scores after seemingly taking control of the game. It's a whole franchise problem vs anyone else.
But this is how you know. There's nothing like bringing up making money and being blessed when fanbases are just begging for a win.
