All I Thought About All Week Was The Ryder Cup And Team USA Was So Bad I Turned It Off Saturday Morning

I put it on the freakin' family calendar.

All I wanted was a competitive three days of golf. To the point where I made sure my wife knew I'd be in the basement most of the day on Saturday

I was in my recliner with a big cup of coffee at 7:10 AM for Bryson and Cam Young teeing off.

By 8:28 AM, I turned the TV off and started cleaning the basement. It was too early on a Saturday morning to be that angry.

For months, Kirk Minihane has been telling us every time it came up on his show that Europe would win the Ryder Cup: better players, a better coach, and a better system.

#KirkWasRight

What an embarrassment. As I write this, Team USA is getting throttled 8.5 to 3.5 heading into afternoon play. Europe needs just 14 points to retain the title of Ryder Cup Champs. At this pace, they'll have it before the 4 PM NFL games kick off on Sunday.

I know Frankie is from Long Island, and he feels the need to defend his people, but the fans have SUCKED for two days. Seriously.

This is EMBARASSING. I knew the USA was buried seeing this before the golf started Saturday,

Frankie is correct, the players have sucked, but so has the coach.

No Justin Thomas Saturday morning? JT was second in the field in strokes gained in the Friday afternoon session, behind only Cam Young. And he sits??? Xander was second-worst in the field Saturday morning, and he plays again while Ben Griffin sits??? Colin Morikawa on the team and playing in BOTH opening sessions??????????

Keegan Bradley deserves a massive amount of blame for this disaster. I don't know how he bounces back from this.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is 0-3 - USA was never winning if Scottie didn't go at least 3-2. But it's worse than just Scottie sucking - Team USA is being out-classed top-to-bottom.

The good news is that after I cleaned the basement and went to the gym, I got the lawn mowed. We need to aerate and overseed this week, but it looks healthy.

I was going to clean out the Saratoga-colored impatiens, but they're hanging on; they'll get another week.

I'll check in on the scores this afternoon. And I'll have to watch some of Bryson and Scottie paired together.

But the basement is WIDE OPEN for the kids to play Xbox in the Mutnansky Household, thanks to Team USA essentially not showing up for the 2025 Ryder Cup.
