Ryder Cup General Admission Tickets Come With Free Food And The Menu Looks Delicious

So yeah, the booze prices at the Ryder Cup are making headlines as we close in on the start of one of the best sporting events of the year. And I'm not sure why.

Alcohol at events is expensive. Everywhere. Concerts, games, you name it - expect sticker shock when you go get a beer. This includes the Ryder Cup. Just because it's USA vs. Europe doesn't mean we're getting 1812 pricing.

The Atlanta Falcons offer "fan first" prices, featuring $2 hot dogs, popcorn, and soda. People love to point out the very affordable concessions at The Masters. But those are two rare instances. The Ryder Cup beer and spirit prices seem right on par with most sporting events I've been to lately. People who are 'outraged' have not been to a game or event recently. I mean, the viral 'Honey Duece" drink sold at the US Open was $23. Add they sold a lot.

What's not getting as much attention is that every Ryder Cup General Admission ticket comes with free food and non-alcoholic drinks. From the Ryder Cup Website -

Includes access to the grounds of Bethpage Black & the Ryder Cup+ Inclusive Food & Non-Alcoholic Beverage Program. Ryder Cup+ ticket holders can redeem one entree, snack and non-alcoholic drink per visit to any concessions market.

Yes, per visit. As in, you can feed yourself all day.

There is no limit on the number of times a Ryder Cup+ Ticket holder can return to a market. However, to reduce food waste and unauthorized sharing of Ryder Cup+ ticket benefits, any abuse or excessive utilization of the program may result in the suspension or revocation of access, as determined in the PGA’s sole discretion.

That sounded like a pretty good perk. Then I looked at the menu from the Ryder Cup website. And I started to get very hungry.

Breakfast

Sausage, egg, and cheese on a toasted biscuit

Chicken Biscuit

Fried Chicken Breast on a Biscuit

I'm ashamed to admit - I've never had a breakfast chicken biscuit. Sounds delightful. Little donut pallet clenser? I don't eat breakfast, but I'm in.

Vegan Asian inspired salad

Tempeh, shredded cabbage, romaine, carrot, edamame, scallion, mandarin orange, sesame dressing

Kosher Meal* (Available upon request at markets to be determined)

Admittedly, I can't actually pronounce 'Ciabatta,' but I could eat three of those.

Snack Items

Chips

Pretzels

Doritos

Cookies

Rice Krispy Treats

Fig Newtons

Clio Bar

Fig Newtons…underrated. Haven't had one in maybe a decade, and now I want one. I'll be watching the Ryder Cup in my basement, so I'll have to add Fig Newtons to the menu. Along with these -

Even with baseball (coaching) season being over, I can't stop eating these. I usually stop on Labor Day, but I ripped through two bags this week. They'll be by my side on Sunday.

Are Ryder Cup tickets expensive? They sure are, with the face value for general admission set at $750, a reported 400% increase over what they cost two years ago in Italy. But the tickets sold out quickly, suggesting they got the price point right.

And if you lucked into tickets or landed some on the secondary market, based on the 2025 Ryder Cup menu, you'll be eating well.
