Welcome To Bethpage: US Fans Wasted No Time Heckling Rory During Practice Rounds, Simply Warming Up To Do Their Job Over The Weekend

I firmly believe if you are at Bethpage at any point this week, we all have a job to do. Golfers obviously have to show up and win. Captains and vice captains can't do anything stupid. The rest of us average people who don't get the suites and all the perks that rich people get at these events, it's simple. Heckle. Be the asshole that the Europeans complain about. It's why you have the Ryder Cup at Bethpage and why people talk about homefield/home course advantage. Don't let those who keep talking about the European crowd knowing the game better or being sophisticated and class distract you. Fuck them. Lean into the stereotype and chant USA directly at Rory when he blades one out of there. 

The USA chant, it's obviously the go-to. It can be improved, we can get a little more creative, which is why I respect this one: 

Any time you can basically turn into Mr. Larson from Happy Gilmore, you gotta pay homage to a great heckler. 

Remind Rory that he's not out driving Bryson, or at least challenge him to swing harder. Anyone who grew up playing golf with their grandfather knows if you swing hard, you fuck up. Let the club do the work, is probably the line every single person has heard on the course. So try to rattle Rory by reminding him that he can't do what Bryson does. Bring up Pinehurst, I don't care. It's us vs them this entire week. 

There's nothing better than seeing the entire country come together and cheer as one and take on one opponent. That's what the Ryder Cup is bringing us this week. Make the European team nervous before they tee off on Friday. It starts with Rory and ends with us winning the Ryder Cup.
