'I Want You On This Ryder Cup Team.' - We Got Video Of Keegan's Call To Sam Burns And It Showed Why Team USA Needed Him To Be The Captain At Bethpage
This right here is all I needed to see today is declare Keegan Bradley a genius. Not only a genius, a great leader, a leader of men, our captain and why I'm ready for the US to beat the shit out of Europe. We all know the Bradley story by now and being on camera for the call that said he wasn't going to Italy. Now he had to make the calls, he had to be the one deciding who to go with, including himself.
But that call to Sam Burns? That was perfect, especially when you consider one of the debates was probably himself or Sam Burns. Instead, all of us should be like this for the time being
Giphy Images. It's simple shit like this that can win over all of us fans. We have dumb brains, especially when it comes to something like the Ryder Cup. Hate on these guys during the PGA Tour, but the moment we see them wearing the red, white and blue and we'll defend them to the death. That's at least how I operate. But you can hear how much this matters to Keegan, how important every single bit of the Ryder Cup is to him. That's what we missed the last time around and, well, Zach Johnson made some dumb decisions.
I know it always seemed like the plan would be Tiger or Phil to be the captain at Bethpage, but we know what happened there. So, now, it's Keegan and quite frankly we can't lose this Ryder Cup. The home team always manipulates the course to their advantage, to the point where it almost seems pointless to play in a way. We're also coming off an ass kicking in Italy, playing the same European team (just changing out one twin for another) and have the best golfer since Tiger on our roster.
Sidenote - show a little more emotion, Sam. Need something besides the monotone reaction. Give me the mullet at least this year again.
