American Airlines Is Trying A New Method To Embarrass Anyone Who Tries To Board Before Their Group Number With A Loud Ass Alarm

Everyone knows there's very few things worse while traveling than the people who crowd the gate trying to board ahead of their group just to sometimes squeeze by and the other times get yelled at by some person who clearly hates their job. Listen, the argument about overhead space being taken which is why you in group F want to board in group A is a moot one. If you don't buy priority boarding, and have to check your bag at the gate because of it, then welcome to a hierarchical society. That isn't a reason to severely delay boarding and make things a hell of a lot harder than we seem to make it.

It's like the people who want to board the plane from back to front like that's an actual option. You think that the people who can't understand a very simple rule of putting your personal item in front of your legs are going to adhere to a civilized way to put their bags in from the back to the front? Good luck Charlie. And if you're going to piss off one group of customers, you might as well let it be the likely non-frequent flyers that sit towards the back rather than your cash cows.

I kinda wish American made the alarm even louder than it is though. I want a Planet Fitness lunk alarm straight in anyone's face who is trying to board before their turn. First time flying? Doesn't matter, welcome to the alarm buddy. I would have loved a voiceover saying "I'm entitled and want to board this plane early, everyone look at me" but the alarm will have to do for now. Make the punishment even greater though. If the alarm goes off while you're trying to board, you have to be the very last person to board and those bags you were worried about checking are now mandatory. Only then can we truly find peace in flying.
