Jim Harbaugh Should Be Mic'd Up EVERY DAMN GAME

There are a couple highlights from this I want to point out.

The first is the most viral, Harbaugh being legitimately pissed that he dropped a pass in warmups. You just can't be any more of a football guy than this man! He's been retired for over 20 years and he still feels like he is a competitor at the player level! Now compare this to our last coach's pregame routine...

The second is how much he is brining Herbert out of his shell. I'm probably the #1 Herbert dickrider but I will freely admit that he needs to get looser. He is essentially like Arnold in Terminator 2. Ruthlessly efficient in all aspects of his game but doesn't like to improvise outside of the guidelines. And honestly, its tough to blame him since he has had a new offensive coordinator and system basically every year since coming into college. No, seriously. At Oregon, he went from Matt Lubick (2016, spread), to Arroyo/Cristobal (2017, Gulf Coast) , to just Arroyo (2018-19, Pistol). In the pros, he went from Shane Steichen (2020) to Joe Lombardi (2021, fired 2022), Kellen Moore (2023), and now Greg Roman. I can't imagine it's easy to find a groove with an offense when your whole philosophy might be changed by the years end. Harbaugh bringing energy and consistency seems to be doing the trick, though!

Lastly, just the fact that in some of these big moments like the QB Power TD, he isn't just running to Herbert. He's going straight to the O line and WRs and hyping them up for making it possible. Some of these dudes aren't given credit in the NFL world or, in QJ's case, have been in the bad place for upwards of a year so I imagine it means a ton.

Anyway, insider Chargers stuff aside, it just rocks seeing Harbaugh do anything in the football world. When you see dorks on twitter bitching about how the NFL product is bad, just have them watch Harbaugh beating up his dudes, doing dad jokes at press conferences, and getting hyped up for game balls in the post-game locker room.
